Glenda Machia

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6
Since she was a child, Pastor Glenda Machia has leaned on this piece of scripture, taught to her by her grandma, as a guide for her life. It is through this learning that she leads the congregation of Mount Zion Church to Love the Lord and each other, to Pray boldly and earnestly to a God whom we know answers prayers, and to Trust completely in His Word.
Pastor G., as she is known by the children, has served Mount Zion Church since 2018. Most of her professional career has been spent in the field of community and economic development where she focused on projects that worked to overcome poverty and economic injustice and to create opportunities for abundance for people in challenging living situations. That passion continues in her life and ministry.

She is a graduate of Millerville University with a B.A. in English and Lancaster Theological Seminary with an M.A.in Religion. Her roots are in Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania where she was raised, along with her thirteen siblings, on the family farm.
